My Bday celebrations

As I wished, I have various celebrations with different cliques. My 21st Birthday celebration started as early as 8th May.

1st Bday celebration
With: Yew before he left for Shanghai
Date: 8th May
Location: Vivo and Sentosa
Food: Japanese Cuisine (My treat for his bday.)
The celebration was way too early for me to feel anything but I still like my present, the Japanese HP. However, I think that given the functions of the phone available in Singapore, the HP does not worth that present.

2nd Bday celebration
With: ESE friends (Shu Yi, Chee Yong, Lloyd, Benjamin)
Date: 23th May
Location: Marina Barrage
Food: Japarlang (Picnic)
Really didn’t expect that they will celebrate my bday before CY goes USA as it was too early. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed myself pretty much with the wriggling legs of our Doraemon kite. And as usual, we have to force Ben to eat. HAHAHA.

3rd Bday celebration
With: 8PG (Christine, Jing Xian, Edmund, Jian Ming, Wilson, Zhong Ru)
Date: 10th July
Location: Orchard Road (P.S Café and Alley Bar)
Food: Atas Western Cuisine + Drinks
Yeah! Love to go out with good friends especially 8PG. I had so many wonderful memories with them that will really crack me up at times.
This is a birthday celebration for the July babies (Wing and Wilson, but they keep putting Wilson’s name before mine. =P) Thanks to the suggestion of ZR, we ended up in an Atas restaurant with an average price of $35 for 1 main course. O_o The yellow curry salmon and mussels that I ordered was nice but I think the flavoring was a bit too strong. Thanks for the bag that yall (including Charlene) bought for me! (Thank JX for choosing it!! *Heart*) I look forward to our Chomp Chomp Outing!!!!

4th Bday celebration
With: Primary School Besties (Wan Yan and Brenda)
Date: 14th July
Location: Jurong Point
Food: Korean Cuisine
It’s a combine birthday celebration with Brenda. We were searching for vegetarian food as Wan Yan had some dietary restriction for 10days. We ended up in a Korean restaurant that keeps playing Korean music shows and MVs! I would say I still prefer the kimchi that Unnie (Wei Ling) made! Hahaha! We had a hearty, spicy meal. I gradually like food with stronger taste. I think that bad as it’s unhealthy. =((((

5th Bday celebration
With: Relatives (Xiao Yi, Rex, Bro, Jason, Gary)
Date: 17th July
Location: Bugis
Food: Western Cuisine (Manhattan’s Fish Market)
The food is so-so only... =((


6th Bday celebration
With: Meng Xiang
Date: 18th July
Location: Yishun
Food: Chinese Cuisine
Food was okay. Inception was great, although I dun really understand the last part as I keep confusing myself with questions...Nevertheless, I still enjoy the sci-fic plot!


ESE outing (not a bday celebration, but it still felt like one - 7th Bday celebration)
With: Shu Yi, Lychee, Ying Xuan, Meng Jie, Darren, Thomas, Chee Feng, Soon Huat, Shawn, Jason, Ming Hoe, David.
Date: 20th July
Location: Kallang Leisure Park for Ice skating and Marina Square for Dinner
Food:Western Cuisine (Manhattan’s Fish Market AGAIN)
I couldn't express how happy I was so skate again!!! I really enjoyed myself very much!


8th Bday celebration
With: Jing Xian & Christine
Date: 21st July
Location: Causeway Point
Food: Ichiban Sushi + Swensen
Great to have besties to celebrate bday with me and we had my FREE swensen flamehouse birthday cake! I had many ppl to sing the bday song for me...so embarrassing. Yeah! I'm as old as them!!! (honestly, i dun feel the transition to 21. I'll still tell ppl I'm 20)

9th Bday celebration
With: GAW OC

Location: SDE
Food: BIRTHDAY CAKE!!! MY FAV!
Thanks GAW for the surprised bday celebration even though I smell the cake before I opened my eyes. To me, it's not the surprise, but the thoughts that i'm really touched of. Nothing beats birthday cake on bday! This is my FIRST and ONLY BDAY CAKE (Whole cake - make wishes, blow candle, cut cake, distribute cake) IN JULY.

10th Bday celebration
With: Zhenxiu
Date: 24th July
Location: Bugis
Food: Japanese Cuisine (Jap Buffet)
Happy birthday to Zhenxiu...we were of the same age for only 3 days. =(( She's very sweet person!!! she bought me a wing necklace together with a pair of wing+heart earrings. very pretty! I like them cos got WINGs and heart! I still owe her bday present cos I was quite busy and I didn't have time to buy! I must not forget. Ohh...the Jap Buffet really cheap until siao! hahahaha. Student price + GST + Service Charged only $18.50. The service is good. Food is okay, not bad. I forgot the specific location...so too bad. =PP

21st Birthday

Well, I have to write another entry, otherwise the video below will block my chatbox. Haha.

Soon, I will be 21. So what's the meaning of turning 21? It's a milestone in life, signifying the start of adulthood. So what's adulthood? Does it purely mean attaining maturity or reaching legal age? Some people have passed their 21st birthday, but they still behave like a kid.

'...young people who are not dependent upon parental support, have life styles that we associate with the notion of 'young adulthood'." (Nilsen, & Brannen, 2002)

If that's the meaning of adulthood, then I have been an adult for the past 3 years.

I think as we grow older, we are more reluctant to acknowledge the fact that we are older. True enough, it's just another day to others, and probably, to yourself.

Nevertheless, i still look forward to my bday!!! cos i can eat BIRTHDAY CAKES!!! Friends, please buy me nice nice cake. I don't want chocolate cake cos I had that for my 2nd birthday celebration already. I like Rive's cake!!!! heheheh...

For presents wise...hmmm...I'm not very sure too, but they must be practical (as in I can use/wear them...but as we grow up, these kinds of stuff become secondary, friends are more impt). But still, I asked my bro to buy me Sims 3 and Bird Nest cos we can play and eat together. heeeheee.

Arhh! I like nice letters and cards! can write stuff for me!! ^^

It’s been a long while since I last wrote my blog entry.

Well, some updates of my life:
- I quitted my Japanese class and I’m quite happy about that as I have more time for myself now. Life is much more manageable now.
- GAW is going to its intensive planning phase! I’m so excited about it but at the same time I’m quite worried about it. Jia you everyone!
- So far I’ve survived well without yew thong by my side. In a month’s time, he will be back! Yeah! He said his going to ship me something; I’m looking forward to it! (According to what he told me so far, he got me 2 shirts and 1 bear and got my mum a scarf. ^^)
- I’m suffering from pimple outbreak and it kind of saddens me as my birthday is coming up soon. I want to be a pretty 21st-birthday girl. I shall go and consult doctor regarding my skin again. (That’s how my face recovered previously.)

This week:
- GAW starts to meet up with beneficiaries. I hope that everything will go smoothly and get all the details required for us to proceed with wish collections.
- I shall go to Unnie’s house today to try the Kimchi that she made.
- I’m looking forward to 8PG gathering for Wing&Wil bday celebration on this Sat! But I’ll miss 2AM’s showcase at IMM. >.<
- I shall go and check out tours to Malaysia on Sunday. Planning a trip with Yew. ^^

- 3 more weeks to the end of my internship
